Artist Bio
Hi, Mahmudul Ali here. I recently received my BA (Hons) Illustration for Communication from Ravensbourne University. Since birth, the United Kingdom has been my home. As I was growing up, I constantly doodled and produced pieces of artwork. In school, I was always much more interested in art and design than in math and science. For a while Math and Physics were my chosen fields because, in my Desi culture, art was considered a hobby rather than a viable professional option so growing up this profession was frowned upon. However, I concluded that math was not the job path I wanted when choosing my A-levels, so I went with art and graphics, which let me rekindle my dormant creative flame. I've worked with a variety of artistic mediums throughout the years, but I've always been drawn to creations with a straightforward aesthetic. The thought of distilling something down to its most basic form and having the majority of people be able to identify it appealed to me. I've always been a huge gamer, so I recently started looking into retro gaming and fell in love with the concept of pixel graphics. So I made the decision to apply this new aesthetic to my artwork.
